Buyer’s remorse for the Tea Party?

Support for the movement has dropped dramatically, according to new data. Some guesses to why this happens.

Well, Well, tea-party supporters. It looks like you don’t really like the Tea Party again.

At least that’s what the Pew Research Center suggests this week, when it was found, surprisingly, that poll respondents souring on the tea party and the Republican party in the Congressional districts represented by members of the Tea Party caucuses of the House. Having regard to the findings on the right:

People in the District of people now agree with the tea party as far as a slimmer margin than they do in 2010 to only 27 per cent to 22 per cent.

What causes this shift according to? What does it mean? It’s hard to know for sure, but here are some of the speculation, some of which overlap, some contradictory, and not all of which I personally support:
